Al Statz, M&AMI, CBA, ASA
Al founded Exit Strategies to help business owners exit right and retire well. Previously Al was president of IDC, a $20M manufacturer of robotic devices for industrial automation. After merging with seven other companies and acquiring an east coast business, IDC was sold to multi-national Danaher Corp (NYSE: DHR). Earlier in his career Al integrated business acquisitions, developed and launched products, led sales & marketing teams and built worldwide distribution channels. Al holds Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) and Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designations. He has an MBA from Golden Gate University and a BS in engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Al lives in Sonoma County with his wife and sons. He is active in Rotary International and in his free time you’ll find him somewhere outdoors.
Over Adam’s 25 year professional career he has been an entrepreneur, a quality auditor and a director for a global business-to-business professional services company in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Adam has expertise in operations management, business development, strategy and sustainability. His broad career path gives him the ability to work with a wide variety of businesses and to guide owners through the entire M&A process, from preparing their businesses to sell to attracting qualified buyers and obtaining the best possible price.
Adam has served on advisory boards of various mission-driven organizations including B-Corporation, the Forest Stewardship Council and SCS Global Services. He volunteers as a small business mentor for Pacific Community Ventures. Adam has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Presidio School of Management. He lives in Sonoma County with his family and is a member of the International Business Brokers Association.
Before joining Exit Strategies as a business broker, Don worked as a contract CFO/controller. He has owned and operated several businesses including farm and industrial equipment dealerships, a chain of retail stores, and a direct marketing catalog company. Don worked as a regional director of the legal publishing division of McGraw-Hill and was a marketing consultant to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics Venue Management Group. Don graduated from Stanford University in 1971. He has 3 children and 4 grandchildren, and lives in Sonoma County with his wife Michele.
Joe has been advising owners on the sale and acquisition of businesses for over 25 years and has facilitated well over 100 successful transactions. Joe uses his considerable experience and training to help sellers and buyers navigate the complex business acquisition process. Helping clients realize their goals and dreams is what drives Joe to deliver great service and the best possible outcomes. Joe has a specialty in the sale of private schools and medical service businesses in California. Early in his career Joe worked for Alexander Grant CPA’s, an international public accounting firm, now Grant Thornton. He also owned and operated a successful sales and marketing firm. Joe has a BA degree from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno. Joe lives in Solano County and serves on the board of directors of the Benicia Chamber of Commerce.
Louis Cionci, ABV
Louis has been providing strategic valuation and M&A services for over 15 years, and has managed over $250 million worth of transactions. His goal in transactions is to help seller clients obtain the best price and terms available in the market, and help buyers obtain economic opportunity. Louis worked as a director and senior associate for two other investment banking firms where he served international and domestic clients in acquisition strategy development and buy- and sell-side representation. Louis is an alumni of Laventhol & Horwath (L&H), a former top ten consulting firm. He holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential and has an MBA from LaSalle University and BS from Rider University.
Roy Martinez, CVA
Roy has over 20 years of business management, venture capital, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business valuation experience. He handles main street business brokerage and middle market M&A transactions. Previously Roy was CFO of a $25M wine fulfillment company and multiple satellite communications companies. He has six years of venture capital and private equity experience: two years with a VC firm and 4 years at Intel Capital. Roy has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in engineering from UC Berkeley, and he holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential.
