Biography

Matthew Freeland holds a degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Over the past two decades, he has developed a broad background in business leadership, financial management, and operational efficiency across multiple industries. His career path reflects adaptability, progressing from hotel management to overseeing operations in the craft brewing industry and later into commercial banking. 

Matthew began his career as a hotel manager, gaining experience in streamlining operations and improving guest services, where he gained invaluable experience in optimizing operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role laid the foundation for his next adventure as Head Brewer and General Manager of a thriving craft brewery, where he spent ten years as Head Brewer and General Manager, managing production while also overseeing financial performance, compliance, and market competitiveness. In these roles, he gained experience in team management, P&L control and long-term production management. 

He later worked for four years as a Business Banker, advising small and mid-sized businesses on cash flow management, working capital strategies, and long-term financial planning. It was here he further refined his ability to assess financial health, develop long-term plans for business development, and identify operational efficiencies that drive sustainable growth. His previous experience allowed him to support other businesses, understand their financial situation and create plans to strengthen their position towards their goals.
